Co-op Comes up Trumps

The following report has been received from Mary Fee at LETSlink UK:

Thankyou to the Co-op Dividend Fund: We have just received the sum of £900 which we will be using to update the contacts information on this website. As LETSlink UK has no core funding, in order to make the very best of this grant, we will be treating it as seed-money and asking all groups to renew their membership subscriptions to support further development of the work.

Work on the southwest area has proceeded fairly well, due to the previous work done by Ben Barker and Rob Follett in keeping the contacts for LETS groups in good shape. However, there were a few groups we had lost contact with that needed some “research”, for example Exeter LETS and Crediton LETS. The southwest includes seven counties, including Bristol.

There are about another 43 counties in the UK, and much more work is needed in some areas to find out the contacts for schemes. As we verify them we are displaying phone numbers for each scheme on the map which links from the front of the LETSlink UK website – to view progress see www.letslinkuk.net and click on REGIONAL LINKS
