Richard Heinberg, a world leading authority on Peak Oil, will give a presentation on the most recent evidence regarding the global oil production peak, its likely consequences, and what we can do at the local level to address the impacts.

Richard Heinberg is a world-renowned expert in Peak Oil, a Research Fellow of the Post Carbon Institute, and a member of the Association for the Study of Peak Oil. He is the award-winning author of several books including The Party’s Over and Powerdown, and the soon to be published Oil Depletion Protocol, which details “proactive strategies to adapt to an energy-constrained world”.
His presentations are featured in the Peak Oil 2003 documentary The End of Suburbia. Richard lectures widely and appears regularly in the media around the world. He is constantly in demand as a public speaker and it is a great privilege to have him visit Penzance.
